This month’s meeting will be a game night.  Bring your favorite game or join others playing favorites like Mexican Train Dominoes and Yahtzee.

We will be asking for input on ski trip dates and other winter trips to Mammoth.

It is BBQ and bring a dish to share.  The club will provide Burgers and Chicken.

Please join us at the Santa Paula Theater on Sunday, July 26, 2015 – Sunday Matinee @ 2:30 pm. The play is “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.”

If you didn’t get a chance to sign up at the General meeting, and you are interested in attending, please let Jessie know by July 13, so additional seats can be reserved.

In the play “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” the master of comedy, Christopher Durang, takes characters and themes from Chekhov, pours them into a blender and mixes them up. The utterly hilarious and occasionally touching result is his latest play set in present day Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

After the play, dinner at one of Santa Paula’s great restaurants.

We are having a Thank God Its Thursday (TGIT) at the Boathouse Café, 1583 Spinnaker Drive, Ventura Harbor on Thursday July 16, 4-6pm

We have a walk to the Seal Rookery at the Bluffs Nature Preserve, Carpinteria.  After the walk we’ll meet in Carpinteria for lunch.  Some may want to drive to town and others may want to continue the Bluff walk into Carpinteria.  Don’t like to walk? Meet us for lunch; place TBA.

Directions: From 101 North take Bailard Off-ramp left to Carpinteria Avenue, Go .3 miles and turn left at Bluff Nature Preserve.

Please join us for the Los Padres Ski Club General Meeting on  Thursday, June 4th 6:30pm at the Pierpont Bay Yacht Club in scenic Ventura Harbor.

Remember to bring your ballot if you have not already mailed it in so we can tally the winners for the club offices.  Club will provide Chicken and Burgers and you bring a side dish or dessert to share.  

We have started our summer general meeting schedule this Thursday, May 7th 6:30pm at the Pierpont Bay Yacht Club in scenic Ventura Harbor.  Note earlier time.

The Los Padres Ski Club once again presents the always enjoyable Progressive Dinner.

This year our Progressive dinner will be held on Saturday, May 30th, which is the weekend following Memorial Day Weekend. We will have a Hawaiian Luau theme so find your aloha shirts, grass skirts, flower leis and join the fun.

The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Any non-member who would like to join the Los Padres Ski Club can apply the extra $5 to their membership fee if they sign up within 30 days of the dinner. Please send your reservation and check to Maggie Hood.  You must include your check to have a valid reservation.

Our first stop with pupus (appetizers) will be at Evonne’s house in Oxnard. Please arrive between 5:00 and 5:30, and if your last name begins with M-Z please bring your best pupus. From there we move to Linda’s home at the beach for salad followed by our main course at Maggie’s house. We finish the evening back at Evonne’s, and if your last name begins with A-L please bring your best Hawaiian dessert.
