General Meeting July 11th 630pm

The July LPSC General Meeting will be postponed until Thursday, July 11th (as the first Thursday of the month when we typically have our General Meeting is the July 4th Holiday)

During the meeting, we will play a game called the Human Scavenger Hunt, which is not as scary as it sounds. Winners will get a prize. Also, we will have a raffle and announcements on events.

The meeting will be a BBQ, we provide burgers and chicken, you provide a very yummy dish to share. See you there!


June 20th TGIT Happy Hour!

Please join us for TGIT Happy Hour on Thursday, June 20th, 5-7 pm at the Aloha Steakhouse, 364 S California Street Ventura, CA 93001  (Across from the Crowne Plaza Hotel).  We will be inside at the long tables.  They have some great drink specials, yummy appetizers and great desserts.  Free (Validated) 2 hour parking is available at the Parking Garage just south of the restaurant.

General Meeting, Thursday June 6th, 6:30pm

At 6:30pm, we will hold our General Meeting at the Pierpont Bay Yacht Club, 1363 Spinnaker Dr, Ventura. We will have a BBQ and the club will provide Burgers and Chicken; you provide a side dish or dessert to share.

During the meeting , we will discuss upcoming summer events and if there is interest, we can still plan a ski trip to Mammoth, which will be open to August!

Carpenteria Seal Rookery Walk, March 24th

Please join us for a leisurely walk to the Harbor Seal Rookery in Carpinteria at 10:30am, March 24th.  We will be meeting at the  Bluffs Parking lot, which is at the Bailard Avenue exit off the 101 on the oceanside (west) side of the 101. Tour of Nautical Museum, Thursday January 17, 10:30 am

We will meet at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, 3900 Bluefin Cir, Oxnard, CA 93035 on Thursday January 17th, 10:20 am. Entrance is free!  Please get there at 10;20 am as the tour will start promptly at 10:30 am.

Our member, Jim Graves, is a docent at the museum and will take us on an “unofficial” tour. We will find a nearby restaurant to have lunch after the museum visit. For more information o the museum, check out cimmvc.org .

Thursday, January 31st Happy Hour, Yard House

Please join us on Thursday, January 31st 4 pm – 6 pm at the Yard House for a TGIT Happy Hour. The Yard house is located in the Collection in Oxnard, across the street from the movie theater.

The Yard house features $2 off on beers, wine, and cocktails, $3 off 9oz wines, and $4 off of yards. They also have a selection of half price appetizers and pizzas.

General Meeting, Jan 3rd, 6:30pm

SKI SWAP – Doors will be open at 6:30 for ski swap.  Meeting starts at 7:00
Bring all your unwanted ski items including clothes and accessories to our next general meeting.  Have everything marked with your name on it and the price you are asking.  We will have a rack available, so please bring all clothing items on hangers.

SPEAKER FROM REI We have a guest speaker from REI coming to our next general meeting.  He will discuss and demonstrate ski waxing basics including base preparation, structure, and minor repair.  Do not bring your personal skis to this demonstration.  Please encourage your skier/snowboarder friends and family to join us.
