We have a guest speaker, Alexis Francis, who is an Environmental Scientist with the Channel Coast District of the State Dept. of Parks and Recreation. She will give a Power Point presentation about the endangered birds on our area. Should be interesting!

So our outgoing social VPs made a slight error and are correcting the time and date of our field trip to the Gardens of the World to Tuesday, May 15th, 11:00am. It is an honest mistake and we hope you can still join us!

We are also looking for a new BBQ chef for our summer General Meetings, starting in May as our beloved friend, Billy, passed away. If you know how to cook delicious chicken and juicy burgers on a propane grill, please speak up at the meeting!
Mammoth Mountain is changing to the new Ikon Season pass, starting at $599 for adults; sorry, no senior pass is available. We are invited to join the Pierpont Bay Yacht Club for the annual Ventura Harbor Parade of Lights and potluck. Meet at the clubhouse at 5:00pm with your dish to share. Later, we will walk down to the end of the piers to get a great view of the parade. Always a great group and great fun!
Please join us at the ALS Walk, Sunday, October 29th, 10:00 am, at Plaza Park, downtown Ventura. One of our club members, Chris “Ski” Chergoski is a long time survivor of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This walk will raise money to support the ALS Association’s mission to end Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Please wear a Hawaiian shirt to match the rest of the “Ski” team.
